HISTORY;
Andie was born on April 15, 1977 to JoAnn & Mark Crews. Mark was one of Boston's most respected police officers. From a young age, she always wanted to be like her daddy. She was a daddy's girl through and through, and she loved going to the police station to visit him. He let her sit in the police car and play with his handcuffs. From that moment, she knew when she grew up, she wanted to be a police officer and follow in her father's footsteps.
Going through grade school, Andie had a few close friends, but nobody really understood her desire to become a police officer. All her female friends wanted to be models or actresses or teachers, but that never even crossed Andie's mind. She discovered that she didn't get along with girls as easily as she got along with boys, and she hung out with boys more often.
In eighth grade she became friends with a boy named Mickey and they got really close really fast. They went to the same high school and remained friends all through. Andie was a pretty big tomboy, and she had a general animosity towards the prissy girls. She was always 'one of the guys', so it was hard for her to date, since most guys seemed to forget that she was, in fact, a girl.
After graduation, she entered right into the police academy. Mark was so proud of his little girl. When Andie was in the academy, she met a man named Todd and they began a fling. It started off mostly physical, but slowly grew to be more. She graduated from the academy near the top of her class, and it was the proudest day of her father's life.
Being Mark Crews' daughter, Andie got a job with the Boston PD right away. She and her partner got along pretty well, and she loved her job. After being a police officer for a few years, her father was killed in the line of duty during a drug bust, three months before he was supposed to retire. Heartbroken, she pushed everyone out of her life, including Todd. She closed up emotionally and focused all her energy on her job.
That hard work and determination got her promoted to Homicide, and she's now a detective for the homicide devision. She's a little better now other people, but she's still kind of emotionally closed off, and has a hard time letting people in.
PERSONALITY;
Andie is a tomboy ... always has been and always will be. She gets along better with guys than girls, but she can be friends with a girl as long as that girl isn't too prissy. If they are, she usually just gets really pissed off. She has a hrd tiem letting people in due to the loss of her father. She's been known to push people away as soon as they get close enough to tell how she's feeling. She loves her job and devotes all her energy to being a homicide detective.
STORYLINES;
PARTNER: Since her father's death, Andie was closed off with everyone. She tried to push her partner away as well, but that didn't work. He/She didn't let her, and showed up at her apartment often with beer and take-out. She's great friends with her partner, and he/she is the only person Andie'll confide things in.
FRIENDS: {svetlana_sawyer, jefferson_lee} As closed off as Andie can be, she loves hanging out and having fun. Dealing with lots of dead people and horrible murders working in Homicide, she enjoys going out and not thinking about work every so often. It makes her feel a bit more human.
CROOKED COPS: Andie's not dumb, she knows there are crooked cops out there. Boston's full of them. She keeps her eye out for them, not wanting the name of the Boston PD to be ruined. These are the cops she suspects and kind of keeps her eye on. Not that she could really do anything about it, but she just likes to keep an eye out.
THE LOVE INTEREST: Back when she was in the police academy, she dated a man named Todd (subject to change!). Their relationship started out purely physical, but she grew to care about him. When her father died, she pushed him away along with everyone else and hasn't seen him since. She always wondered what would have happened if she stayed with him. (This could be taken by another man that's already in the game, his name can always be changed!)
ONE NIGHT STANDS: In her line of work, it's kind fo hard to keep a steady relationship due to the constant workload. But a woman has needs that can only be helped by a man, an itch to scratch if you will. These are the one-night-stands, or the physical relationships she's developed.
